On Friday, February 7th, a traditional crafts experience class was held at the Shinagawa Ward Small and Medium Enterprise Center.
This time the theme is [Lacquer]!!
The lecturer will be Mr. Toshitsugu Yasui, a member of the Shinagawa Ward Traditional Crafts Preservation Society.
By polishing chopsticks that have been coated with multiple layers of colored lacquer with sandpaper, the color will change little by little, allowing you to create chopsticks that are uniquely your own.
Participants commented, "Sanding was difficult, but it was fun watching the color change little by little," and "I made some great chopsticks, so I'll take good care of them."
