～Hanami music program～

Nagauta developed as music for Kabuki during the Edo period and became popular. An ukiyo-e that depicts Gotenyama, which was bustling with people in Edo, also depicts a person playing the shamisen. By making the sound of the shamisen resonate, the state of Gotenyama in the past is recreated. In addition, at the workshop held at the same time, you can experience playing the shamisen.

We will set up a tea ceremony in the modern tea room "Ujian", which was designed by Mr. Arata Isozaki, one of Japan's leading architects, and combines tradition and innovation. You can enjoy the pairing of special matcha blended with cherry leaves, which is limited to the Gotenyama Sakura Festival, and the sweets offered at the afternoon tea at the Tokyo Marriott Hotel.
At the same time, referring to the cultural background of smoking in the tea room of Edo, "Smoking tea" using tea leaves blended with cherry blossom leaves instead of tobacco leaves will be served for a limited time. Please enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime tea ceremony.

-Spend time with cherry blossoms and your dog at the Tokyo Marriott Hotel-

A one-day event will be held at the same time as the “Gotenyama Sakura Festival 2023”, where you can enjoy a walk and lunch with your dog in Gotenyama, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. During the walk, a photographer will take wonderful moments with your dog, and at noon, the hotel chef will serve you a cherry-blossom viewing bento-style lunch.
