Following "Shinagawaso" in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture the other day, I went to Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture to inspect "Korinso", another resort for Shinagawa residents.
It is a very nice facility surrounded by rich nature!
(We encountered a wild deer during the tour! 🦌 By the way, the photo of the deer is not the deer I encountered… As you can see, it's stuffed.)
Korinso is used as a mobile classroom for elementary schools and compulsory education schools in Shinagawa Ward, so many of you may have stayed there before.
From April to October, there are no vacancies for mobile classrooms, etc., but from November to March, general groups can be accommodated if they apply (consult with the facility regarding terms of use).
As well as being a base for sightseeing in Nikko, it also has a recreation room (gymnasium), so you can do sports training camps such as basketball and badminton!
There is also an all-weather skating rink "Hosoo Dome Rink" nearby, so it is OK as a training camp for ice hockey!
Those who live, work, or study in the city can use it at a reasonable price. If you are thinking of going to a group training camp, why not consider it?
