[Shinagawa Orange Project for Everyone]

During World Alzheimer's Month in September, awareness-raising activities about dementia are being carried out across the country. In Shinagawa Ward, since orange is the color used to raise awareness of dementia, it is called the “Shinagawa Everyone Thinking Orange Project,” and the spread of the concept of sharing “feelings” for people with dementia together. We are conducting an awareness project.

As part of the public awareness project,

<Planting marigolds at Ward Office Plazza>
・We planted orange marigold flower seedlings, the color of dementia awareness, in the plaza of the ward office.

<13 bridges in the ward illuminated in orange>
・The 13 bridges that span the Meguro River, Keihin Canal, and Tennozu South Canal are lit up in orange, a color to raise awareness of dementia.
*Light-up dates: September 1st (Friday) to September 9th (Saturday), September 17th (Sunday) to September 21st (Thursday), 2020
