[“Movement to eliminate violence against women” awareness activities underway]

In conjunction with the "Campaign to Eliminate Violence Against Women" period from Sunday, November 12, 2020 to Saturday, November 25, 2020, the city is conducting various awareness campaigns.

The “Purple Ribbon Tree'' is on display at the Gender Equality Center (5-18-1 Higashioi, Kurian 3rd floor). The purple ribbon is a symbol of eradicating violence against women.
In addition, the inside of the facility is lit up in purple, and there are panel exhibitions about domestic violence and books on the theme of “violence surrounding women'' that can be viewed.

In addition, as part of Hikari's waterside project, eight bridges in the ward spanning the Meguro River, Keihin Canal, and Tennozu South Canal (Mitake Bridge, Yokotsu Bridge, Ekawa Bridge, Shinagawa Bridge, Shinkawa Bridge, Isle Bridge, Kamome Bridge, Katsushima Bridge) is lit up in purple (*excluding November 17th, 18th, and 20th).

At the "Shinagawa Human Rights Plaza 2023" to be held on Saturday, December 9, 2020, we will display the "Inspiring Domestic Violence Eradication Panel" that will spread excitement throughout the country.

Why not use the period of the "Movement to Eliminate Violence Against Women" as an opportunity to think about violence and respect for human rights?
