This award recognizes departments and facilities that have undertaken excellent environmental initiatives, with the aim of further raising environmental awareness among employees and promoting the spread of such initiatives.
This year, the following three departments received awards.
●School Affairs Division Completed the switch to electricity from renewable energy sources in all electricity contracts for all ward schools.
●Jonan Elementary School
We have established an SDGs committee and inform all students about the status of our activities through lunchtime broadcasts and all-school morning meetings.
Regarding the recycling of pencils and pens, we conducted on-site lectures with the cooperation of businesses in the ward and created a video before the summer vacation to raise awareness about recycling.
●A person in charge of environmental education at Higashi Gotanda Nursery School has been appointed and plans and implements environmental education four times a year. We also share this information with parents and raise their awareness.
