Shinagawa Ward and Second Fire Department Joint Flood Prevention Training
On Saturday, May 18th, joint flood prevention training was conducted with fire departments and fire brigades at three locations: Shinagawa Central Park, Katsushima Canal, and Tennozu Park.
The training was conducted with the aim of reducing damage caused by flooding during the rainy season, heavy downpours, and before typhoon season, and improving the operational skills of flood control units. Practical training was provided, including how to operate drainage pumps and lifeboats, and how to handle disaster waste disposal activities.
