The Shinagawa Kids Patrol 2024 enlistment and departure ceremony was held.
An open recruitment campaign was conducted targeting elementary school students in the ward from fourth to sixth grade, and 39 students were appointed as members of the team.
The Shinagawa Kids Patrol rides in a blue crime prevention patrol vehicle with the Life Safety Support Team and makes crime prevention announcements over a microphone, from a child's perspective.
At the enlistment ceremony, Ward Mayor Kyoko Morisawa (the troop leader) placed a troop ID around each member's neck. At the departure ceremony, two representative children made a departure announcement.
In addition, with the cooperation of Oi Police Station, there was also a photo opportunity at the departure venue with police motorcycles and patrol cars, which created a huge crowd.
The Shinagawa Kids Patrol members will be conducting crime prevention patrols in the ward from today until Friday the 26th.
If you see a member of the team using a microphone for public relations, please ask them.
