In April of this year, Shinagawa Ward enacted the "Shinagawa Ward Ordinance for the Realization of Gender Equality and a Society that Respects Sexual Diversity."
This is the first ordinance among the 23 wards to include "women's empowerment" as a basic principle.
Today, the 1st Conference for Promoting a Society that Respects Gender Equality and Sexual Diversity, an affiliated organization of the ward mayor, was held in order to realize the society that the ward aspires to.
From now on, we will enlist the help of all the promotion committee members to promote the ward's policies in a comprehensive and planned manner!
