A homestay dispatched student from Geneva (Switzerland), which has a friendship city tie-up, visited the ward office.
After a speech by the student representative and a welcome speech in English by Mayor Morisawa, we exchanged souvenirs.
This time, 16 students are scheduled to stay until August 11th, while walking around the city's shopping district, interacting with students at private schools in the city, and experiencing Japanese culture such as yakatabune boats.
I want them to discover a lot of different cultures from their home country, enjoy Japan, and bring back a lot of memories.
