Prior to the demonstration operation of Green Slow Mobility on Sunday, October 6, 2024, a test ride was held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from Kitashinagawa Ekimae stop (Kitashinagawa 1-2-9) to Tennozu Park (Higashishinagawa 2-6-23), with the participation of the local town association president and Morisawa ward mayor.
The route connects the historic old Tokaido road to the charming waterfront of Tennozu. The aim is to popularize this new mode of transportation that allows people to leisurely enjoy the distinctive scenery of Shinagawa Ward, as a low-carbon form of mobility that combines both tourism and mobility.
Mayor Morisawa commented, "I think this is a great route that connects the historic cityscape to contemporary art. The train travels slowly, so it's great to be able to interact with the local people as you ride."
The demonstration operation will last for approximately two months.
