[Kyoko Morisawa, mayor of Shinagawa]

Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture Connecting Lives Photo Exhibition

The event is being held for four days from October 20th (Sun) to 24th (Thu) at the Disaster Prevention Experience Hall on the second floor of the Shinagawa Ward Office Disaster Prevention Center as an effort to ensure that the lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake are not forgotten and are passed on to the next generation.

Mayor Yamamoto of Miyako City also attended today's opening ceremony.

The photo exhibition, titled "Memories of the Great East Japan Earthquake: Living with Disasters," is being run by Miyako City's executive committee as an event to commemorate the "activities to connect lives" that took place immediately after the earthquake.

If you are visiting Shinagawa Ward Office to vote early for the House of Representatives election, please be sure to stop by!
We hope that this will be an opportunity to review our preparations to protect lives from disasters such as a major earthquake directly beneath the capital, which could happen at any time.
