The Shinagawa Second District Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Drill was held at Shinagawa Ward Tokai Junior High School on Sunday, October 27th.
This was the first time in five years that the event was held with local participants, and many people took part on the day.
Training sessions at the venue included rescue and evacuation training, stretcher transport training, initial fire extinguishing training, and a corporate exhibition corner, and at the end of the training a simultaneous water spraying drill was conducted by the local town association, the Tokai Junior High School student mini-pump team, and the ward fire brigade.
The training provided an excellent opportunity for participants to learn and reaffirm disaster prevention knowledge and skills, and to raise awareness among the participants that "it is up to us to protect our own communities."
The event was held successfully thanks to the cooperation of many people, including local neighborhood associations, local elementary and junior high schools and children's centers, fire stations, fire brigades, police stations, and businesses.
Thank you very much to everyone who attended and to everyone who helped make the event possible.
