Today, October 6th (Friday), a demonstration of traditional crafts was held at the Small and Medium Enterprise Center.
This time's demonstration is "Tokyo Kiri Tansu"✨
Hidenori Hayashi, a member of the Shinagawa Ward Traditional Crafts Preservation Society, demonstrated how to attach metal fittings using a variety of tools.
The main material, paulownia, has moderate breathability and insect repellent properties, and prevents damage to clothing such as kimonos.
Also, with regular maintenance, it is said to last over 100 years.
A “thing that will last a lifetime” that can be used until your grandchildren!!
How about one for each family✨
Next time will be “Japanese clothes” @ Ecole Togoshi on February 9th (Friday) next year!
Look forward to it♪
