Deputy Ward Mayor Akira Horikoshi was appointed.
Deputy Ward Mayor Horikoshi joined Shinagawa Ward in April 1989.
He has previously served as Director of Regional Development, Director of Planning, and Director of General Affairs.
As a result, the deputy mayor of Shinagawa Ward said,
The council will consist of two deputy mayors: the newly appointed Deputy Ward Mayor Akira Horikoshi and the current Deputy Ward Mayor Yasushi Arai.
