We are looking for participants for the Shinagawa Manabi no Mori Special Lecture in 2024. This year, we will invite Keisuke Ushiro, the Japanese record holder in the decathlon and a participant in the London and Rio Olympics, to give a lecture on the theme of "Seeking great growth in what I do with all my might – What the decathlon has taught me."

The decathlon in athletics consists of four running events, three throwing events, and three jumping events. It is a very tough event in which a total of 10 events are performed over two days, and the total score is the winner. Keisuke Ushiro is famous as the pioneer of the decathlon in Japan. He will talk about the meaning of his determination to continue competing in such a tough sport at the age of 38, his continued challenge to grow, and what he has learned through the decathlon.

Those who participate on the day will also receive a signed card from Ushiro.
