On Tuesday, August 20th, a traditional crafts experience class was held at the Shinagawa Ward Small and Medium Enterprise Center.
This time the theme is [Japanese Dressmaking]!!
The lecturer will be Ms. Noriko Takahashi, a member of the Shinagawa Ward Traditional Crafts Preservation Society!
Since it was summer vacation, we held a class where children and their parents could experience things together.
Although it was the first time for many of the children to try sewing, they were able to complete beautiful sacoche bags while learning traditional Japanese dressmaking techniques!
Shinagawa Ward will continue to hold events related to traditional crafts.
On Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th, 2025, the "Shinagawa Traditional Techniques and Flavors Exhibition" will be held at Curian (Shinagawa Ward Community Center).
We are planning a packed event with demonstrations by many artisans, experience classes, and stalls selling traditional Shinagawa flavors!
Please come and visit us.
