On Sunday, November 3rd, the Deaflympics awareness event “Deaf Sports & Art Fair 2024” was held at Square Ebara! The event started with greetings from Hayato Uematsu, the ward’s official Deaflympics supporter, and Erina Yuguchi, a deaf athlete, at Hiratsuka Hall. In the arena, participants enjoyed the world of deafness through a table tennis experience corner using the “Miruoto” sound visualization system, a deaf athletics experience corner, and an art workshop using sign language by artist Hidehiko Kado.
